SkyGrip drops you into a gorge with pegs passing on both walls. Hold anywhere and your gem throws a tether at the nearest peg; gravity does the rest. You swing, you let go at the bottom of the arc, and you fly. Hold to grip, release to launch — that is the whole control scheme, and it takes about ten seconds to learn.

Learning it takes ten seconds. Getting good takes longer.
Let go too early and you stall. Let go at the bottom of the swing and you get a perfect launch, a longer arc, and a chain that keeps climbing for as long as you keep catching pegs.
Not every peg is a friend. Gold pegs pay gems the moment you grab them. Spring pegs kick you harder than you expect. Decaying pegs throw you off about a second after you latch, so you have to plan the next grab before you finish this one. Thornvines, pulsing gates and sliding bars are all trying to end the run.
A gorge that is actually alive
Every run drops you into one of eight worlds: Sunlit Forest, Open Sky, Red Canyon, Coral Reef, Frozen Ravine, Blossom Vale, Ember Rift and Luminous Grotto.
Birds cross the canyon. Deer watch from the lip. Snow settles on the ledges, fireflies come out at night, and now and then something rare passes through. The field guide fills in only when you have seen a thing yourself.
Built for a spare minute
The game plays offline. It is portrait, one hand, one thumb, and a run is over in a minute or two — so it fits a bus stop, a queue, a lift or a lunch break, and picks up exactly where your attention left off.
There are no in-app purchases. The only ads are optional videos you choose to watch: one to carry on after a fall, one to top up your gems. Signing in to Google Play Games is optional too, and carries your progress to a new phone.

FAQ
Does SkyGrip work offline?
Yes. The whole game plays offline. A connection is only used for the optional parts: Play Games leaderboards, the weather look-up, and the rewarded videos.
Are there in-app purchases?
No. SkyGrip has no in-app purchases of any kind. Gems are earned by playing, or by choosing to watch a video.
Why does the sky change between runs?
The sky follows your phone clock, and your local weather when the game can reach it, so an early run is a sunrise and a rainy day is a rainy gorge. It uses a city-level location worked out from your internet address — never GPS, and never a location permission.
Do I have to sign in?
No. Google Play Games sign-in is optional. Every part of the game works without it; if you skip it, the leaderboards simply never appear.
Privacy
SkyGrip keeps your scores, settings and progress on your device. What leaves the phone — advertising, analytics, crash reports and anything optional — is written out in plain language, app by app, in the privacy policy. Questions go to the contact page.
